Ahead of State Assembly polls in 2022, MLC A K Sharma was appointed as State Vice President of BJP - Uttar Pradesh. In a tweet from BJP Uttar Pradesh dated June 19, 2021, the formal announcement was made from State President BJP - Uttar Pradesh, Shri Swatantra Dev Singh. Arvind Sharma thanked the national and state leadership of BJP for making him the vice-president of Uttar Pradesh BJP. Sharma further ensured that he will be in the service of the society, state and country under the guidance of seniors and with the help of friends.
On 20 June 21, A K Sharma wrote a letter of thanks to State President BJP - Uttar Pradesh, Shri Swatantra Dev Singh for the appointment. Sharma said, as member of BJP, he is committed to put all his efforts towards service of nation. Sharma mentioned about his rural background, his academics, enrollment in Administrative Services as an IAS and his continual association with his village, society and district during his service tenure as Bureaucrat. Sharma also wrote about his works done in Gujarat for prosperity and happiness of common/poor people during his multiple postings as District Development Officer and District Magistrate.
AK Sharma showed his gratitude towards his mentor and Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Sharma said that, since 2001 to 2021, he is humbled and honored to be a contributor in development, historic political and global journey of Shri Narendra Modi. Sharma also shown confidence that people of Uttar Pradesh still love Shri Narendra Modi as they had in 2013-14 and name and guidance of such a global and dynamic leader is sufficient enough to win upcoming polls in Uttar Pradesh.
Lastly, A K Sharma promised to put his all the efforts for upcoming State Assembly elections in 2022. Sharma said he believes that under leadership of Senior Leaders of National and State BJP and CM Shri Yogi Adityanathji, BJP will surely register a glorious victory and win even more seats compared to last election.
